My rules of business and life
1. Deal only to those who are interested or those who can become interested. Others are time wasters.
2. If they don’t trust you they will not deal with you.
3. Prioritise on things that can benefit now or help shape a positive future.
4. Don’t create a shiny object that looks ugly. Reshape it. You will have to work hard and keep reshaping until it looks good and is worthy.
5. Use absence. Not all people, situations and circumstance will warrant your presence.
6. Listen to your market and customers. You exist because they do.
7. If you run multiple business or activities make sure they are in harmony with you and each other.
8. Do not try to put everything in the same basket when it comes to products, services, location, customers. They are all unique and deserve respect on their own right.
9. Do what you think it right, not what someone else may make you think.
10. Understand that you will come across rich and poor, busy and lazy, kind and crazy. To meet their purpose do not lose sight of yours.
11. Make sure those you serve feel great, everyone you influence feels good.
12. Relax, life is a journey. If it was a destination you have already reached as far as you were meant to get. We are called human beings so just be.
13. Always leave moments to enjoy the journey. Pause, reflect and move on.
14. Never boast about your achievements. Be humble be graceful. You could have been in someone else’s shoes that hurt.
15. Create space and time for family, friends and those who provide you council.
16. Embrace contrast in life to experience new things, new places, new ideas. It will enhance your knowledge and ability.
17. You should not aim to profit from Friends, family or charity.
18. Ideas are worth a dime only when someone pays.
